About the Team:

You’ll be joining Nike’s Data & AI (DAI) team, which builds secure, scalable, and intelligent platforms to power decision-making and deliver personalized experiences across Nike’s global ecosystem. This team is at the core of how Nike uses technology and data to serve athletes* everywhere.

Who We Are Looking For:

We’re seeking a skilled software engineer who loves working with data platforms, distributed systems, and cloud technologies. If you have a strong background in building scalable solutions and enjoy collaborating with cross-functional teams, this role is a great fit.

What You’ll Work On:

• Data Platforms: Design, build, and maintain scalable data platforms and services.
• API & Microservices Development: Develop SDKs, APIs, and microservices to support Nike’s data and analytics needs.
• Code Quality: Write clean, maintainable, and well-tested code.
• Best Practices: Implement standards for data governance, observability, and platform reliability.
• Collaboration: Work with senior engineers and cross-functional teams to create innovative solutions.
• Testing & Validation: Ensure data quality, reliability, and performance at scale.
• Knowledge Sharing: Contribute in code reviews, mentoring, and team discussions.
• Support: Help resolve production issues and maintain smooth platform operations.

Requirements:

• Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field (or equivalent experience)
• 3+ years of experience in software development with distributed systems and data platforms
• Expertise in one or more cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, GCP)
• Hands-on experience with Databricks, Snowflake, Spark, Airflow, or similar platforms
• Strong knowledge of SQL and database management (RDS, Cloud SQL, etc.)
• Experience with infrastructure-as-code tools (Terraform, CloudFormation)
• Proven ability to deliver scalable APIs and microservices
• Solid problem-solving, debugging, and analytical skills
• Strong communication and collaboration abilities
